Agripreneurship: The Next big thing in the Philippine Economy

The 1st Phil Agrinegosyo Summit was a surprising success. Held last July 25, 2014 at the World Trade Center, the summit event proved that Agripreneurship is the next big thing for our Philippine economy. Young and old alike, students and professional businessmen all flocked together to learn from the experts and share their "no-quit" acumen. Inspiration was truly in the air and was felt by the massive audience.

Initially gracing the event were two relevant keynote talks from Senator Francis Pangilinan and Senator Cynthia Villar. Senator Pangilinan tackled the issues in addressing food security in the country, and how to build the capacity of farmers in all aspects of agriculture in order for their passionable work to remain sustainable.

Senator Villar, meanwhile, gave the audience a painted picture of a prosperous Philippines through the contribution of the agricultural sector.

The program's long line of presentors and resource speakers make for the very substantial information-sharing, from start-up challenges to the joy of the first million income. It was likewise a defining moment for the resource speakers as they stand proud of their achievements despite the many challenges in the beginning.

Our very own President and CEO, Paris Uy, were among the panelists in the forum on Agricultural business models. He shared the advocacy of Livegreen International Incorporated particulrly in empowering the farmers to be AFTA 2015-ready.

The event also paid homage to well-selected Go Negosyo's Inspiring Agripreneurs of 2014.
