Did you know that it’s not enough that you eat vegetables? You have to chew them well too! If you fail to eat them properly by chewing them well, your digestive system may have a hard time cracking open the tough cellular walls of these vegetables to release their phytonutrients. What happens is that these nutrients may not be fully absorbed by the body. With juicing, these same tough cells are broken down quite easily making your generous supply of phytonutrients readily available for you in each gulp.

A delicious potpourri of nutrients

What’s more exciting about juicing vegetables is that you can put together as much vegetables of different kinds to max out their nutritional benefits. By eating them raw or included in your dishes, you can only eat so much, oftentimes below the daily requirement. With juicing, you can create your own mix to detox and cleanse, alkalize, boost your immunity, nourish and energize or address some weakness in your body, or if you just simply want to sweeten up. Better yet, mix together two or more vegetables to create a personalized concoction. And then begin the habit of taking this mix as you would your morning coffee.

For starters, you may want to try these combinations:

You can throw in some fruits, like apple, for natural sweetness to liven up your vegetable juice; as much as possible refrain from using artificial sweeteners.

Vegetables are nature’s gift. Fill up your fridge with GREEN GOODNESS. Juice them if you can’t eat them. Be adventurous and experimental and surprise yourself with your creative juices.

Happy juicing!
